Overview 
WAAPA is one of the world’s leading performing arts academies, delivering the most comprehensive range of performing arts training in Australia. Our students are able to develop their skills on-stage as an actor, dancer or musician, or behind the scenes in production, design or arts management.

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and motivated professional, with excellent and comprehensive administrative and practical skills to support the production process at WAAPA.  

The Role
The Production Coordinator will assist the Technical Manager in supporting the production process at WAAPA, providing high level administrative and practical support across a broad range of areas, including arranging and minuting production meetings, assisting with budget setting and tracking, venue hire contracts, venue and rehearsal timetabling,  supporting the coordination of Visiting Artist contracts and creative packs as well as liaising with key internal and external stakeholders. 

The role utilises high level organisation and communication skills to facilitate and influence outcomes with relevant stakeholders including students, academic and technical staff and external organisations. 

Key Criteria 
To be successful you will be proactive and resilient and will have experience in a similar or related role.  You will be able to demonstrate that you meet the following criteria: 

  • Demonstrated high level of administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain administrative systems and procedures.
  • Precise attention to detail, with the ability to use initiative and think analytically and laterally when sourcing information and problem solving.
  • Experience in planning and managing productions and/or performances
  • Ability to work autonomously, take direction and motivate self and team members in a busy environment when managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and network effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.

Remuneration:
This full-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $75,821 – $84,254 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
