Production Assistant – Performing Arts

PLC, Perth, in Western Australia is one of Australia’s leading schools for girls. We are a Uniting Church school catering for 1200 day and boarding students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Our campus is located in the leafy suburb of Peppermint Grove, wedged between the ocean and the river.

Production Assistant – Performing Arts

Permanent Part Time (18 hours per week) – Term Time Only

PLC invites applications from suitably experienced individuals for the position of Production Assistant – Performing Arts.   The successful candidate will be experienced in providing production and administrative support including stage management, production, AV, sound, and lighting, in a range of contexts, including drama, dance and music performance.  Working closely with the Theatre Manager and Performing Arts teaching staff, the role will provide support for school Performing Arts and other events including theatre productions, dance shows, concerts, and assemblies.  The role will suit a flexible and versatile individual with theatre experience and an interest in working with young people.  Previous experience working in a similar role at a school would be highly advantageous.  For further information please visit our website.

The successful candidate must be able to work additional hours (including evenings, weekends and some school holidays time) during peak production times, with payment at applicable overtime rates.
