Sydney Coliseum Theatre at West HQ is recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Production Assistant to join our team and contribute to the success of our live events!
This role will be required to work 2 days per week (potentially increasing to 3 days) for a term of 11 weeks, commencing from 16 September 2024.
- Casual hourly Rate ($36.08 Monday to Friday).

Duties include:
- Liaise with the Artistic Director and Production Team to collate all necessary documentation for visa applications for each member of the touring company.
- Prepare documentation and coordinate bookings for any applicants that require the additional step of biometric testing.
- Assist with tasks such as scheduling, organising, and preparing travel materials including freight and insurances required.
- Liaise with Live Performance Australia on timelines and guidelines.
- Assist with collating the bios and information required for the show program.
- Handle administrative duties including documentation, filing and communication with the traveling company and SCT Team.
- Facilitate communication between production and venue; ensure all needs are met.
- Perform various tasks as directed by the Theatre Services Manager.
- Administrative duties such as preparing purchase orders, collating information for show programs.
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated production experience in an events-based environment, with a background in live performance (preferred).
- Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative working environment.
- The ability to make informed decisions quickly and efficiently, adapting to evolving situations.
- Passion for the arts and live entertainment.
- Strong work ethic with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when required.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by production schedules.
