Production and Technical Officer, University of Melbourne

AV@Melbourne’s core purpose is to provide AV services to the University of Melbourne community and to enhance the student experience. In meeting this purpose, AV@Melbourne provides a range of services including equipment hire, and technical production of University and student events.

The AV@Melbourne department is currently seeking a Production and Technical Officer to assist in the production and technical services for small scale events (including dry equipment hires).

The role will be actively involved in the day to day operations of the AV@Melbourne equipment hire service and will carry out equipment maintenance in conjunction with the Senior Production and Technical Officer.

Reporting to the AV@Melbourne Coordinator, you will have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.  Applied skills in audio, music, lighting, and staging are required for the role.

Excellent computer skills and demonstrated skills in onsite crew management, together with a certificate in Testing & Tagging and a current driver’s licence are essential.

This is a full time (35 hours per week), continuing position with a salary package of $67K+ per annum.

The spread of hours may include evening and weekend work at times.
