Graftons Sound and Lighting is a dynamic and innovative company with hire, sales and installations of AV, Sound and Lighting equipment at its core, and is utilised across all industries and market places ranging from small hires for domestic parties, television sets, fashion shows through to large installations both temporary and permanent as required.
The Role
You will be responsible for the daily administration, coordination and analysis of systems/paperwork/crew/gear required for the productions or events that you are delegated by your supervisor initially and as you grow in experience have the potential to manage yourself. The tasks involved in this function include quoting, budgeting, organising and supervising all elements of events that you manage and liaising with clients and improving and developing your client base. You will also perform general office duties, and work closely within a team environment.
Duties/Responsibiliites:
- Ability to prepare, test, set up, operate and pack down audio, lighting, staging and AV equipment for demonstration purposes, dry hire, installations, events, etc
- Customer retention, and database growth.
- Work within a small team and be able to take direction relating to but not limited to:
– Completing site inspections, what questions to ask and how to quote profitably within a hire/install/event environment.
– Build strong relationships with a diverse customer base.
– Experience with computer-based applications (including Microsoft Word and Excel) is essential with a demonstrated ability to comprehend and learn new systems. - Prepare and present reports as directed
- Excellent interpersonal and skills with an ability to relate to a range of people as well as demonstrated clear written and oral communication skills including a professional telephone manner.
- Ability to operate as a member of a team in a busy environment and contribute to the success of the team.
- Experience working to deadlines and excellent time management skills are crucial as is a keen eye for detail and the ability to problem-solve while working under pressure.

- You will possess experience working in a similar environment in professional sound and lighting.
- You will have a professional appearance at all times and be of a reliable and trustworthy nature.
- Industry and warehouse related ad hoc duties as required.

Remuneration is negotiable and dependent on experience and skills.
