Production Resource Group, (PRG), has debut new lighting control and media server products at LDI 2012. LDI attendees were the first to see the new ultra-portable V276™ on Mac control interface (pictured) and Mbox Studio, a software version of the popular Mbox Extreme® media server, both of which will be available for sale in January 2013. Both products are designed for use with an Apple Macintosh computer (supplied by the user). These two products, when combined, provide a powerful, complete, and compact control solution for lighting and media from one computer.
PRG has also announced that it will now—in response to customer requests—offer the entire line of Mbox software and hardware products for sale. Previously these products had been available in PRG’s rental inventory only.
Developed by PRG’s Emmy® award winning R&D group, the VX76 console range will now feature Version 3.5 software, which is a major feature release. Some of the many new features include Tracking, ASCII import, external Art-Net fader control, and DMX input for third-party products. End-users can specify and purchase any of the products in PRG’s console family—the V276 on Mac, the V476®, the V676®, and the new PRG Super Node, which expands the console control capabilities.
