Entalks – tell a story, share a project?
ENTECH goes local next October with different sessions in each city – alongside hometown single-city exhibitors – joining the major national touring exhibitors. Giving the roadshow a local flavour has led to the ‘community’ theme, and recognises that Adelaide and Brisbane are very different cities.
Sessions scheduled so far range from ‘Lighting KISS! Flash! Bang!’ by Australian LD Motely (Brisbane), ‘What is the colour of sound?’ with Cais Nitschke (Adelaide) to ‘LD and Programmer interaction’ by Gavan Swift and Rob Cudden (Melbourne). Topics scheduled include venue design (Arup), Strategies to stream events seamlessly (Simon Byrne), Dealing with a corporate client in AV (Mark Taylor) and Physical and mental health fitness in staging by Emma Sputnik. There are a dozen more, with space in the schedule in each city.
Julius Grafton at ENTECH would like to hear from you if you have a topic or would like to detail a project or technique. A stipend of $200 is paid to cover costs, and the sessions are free – held in the Entalks Theatre on the show floor.
The single-city program joins the national exhibitor seminars and training which has the same program in all cities. ENTECH runs from Brisbane (Oct 8), Sydney (10th), Melbourne (15th), Adelaide (17th) and finishes in Perth on Tuesday 22nd October.
Meanwhile, ENTECH NZ rolls in August with all exhibitor space sold out.
