Planetshakers Church has invested in twenty-four ShowPro PixPads, Pro Shop LED Fusion Bars and a MA Node for their main Melbourne campus as well as their Melbourne North East Campus.
“We really liked the PixPads and were keen to incorporate them into the look of our productions,” explained Steve Piemontese, production assistant at Planetshakers. “Of particular interest was the ability to pixel map them and run effects through them. We’ve really pushed them quite a lot and created some interesting effects with them. They really help the visual look of the stage particularly for the cameras; that’s very important as we live stream out Sunday service.”
Eight of the PixPads were deployed to the Melbourne North East Campus where they are mostly used for stage wash. They are joined by the six LED Fusion Bars which add an element of eye candy. The LED Fusion Bars utilize the latest in Tri-Colour technology whereby the colour mixing is fused into each lens by way of the special Tri-Colour LED’s eliminating the usual chromatic shadowing and ensuring an even spread of colour upon the illuminated surface.
The MA Node is instrumental in solving a wireless problem where the wireless DMX kept dropping out.
“With the aid of the MA Node, we turned it into fixed DMX instead and it’s been smooth sailing ever since,” said Steve.
