Phantos Screens for The Great Animal Orchestra

dplr recently built a 30m long indoor LED screen for the Australian première of The Great Animal Orchestra, presented by the Biennale of Sydney and Foundation Cartier pour l’art Contemporain.

The 3 month-long exhibition aims to demonstrate the singular and memorable encounter with our living planet. The environmentally-focused work by American pioneer soundscape ecologist Bernie Krause and London-based collective United Visual Artists is being presented at the Stargazer Lawn, Barangaroo for the duration of the 23rd Biennale of Sydney, titled r?vus, from 12 March to 13 June 2022.

dplr is a Sydney based technical event company that specializes in live-streaming, production and technical management with a large LED screen inventory for hire.

Another installation that dplr is in charge of for the 23rd Biennale of Sydney is ‘Leaf Work’ by John Gerrard.

The LED screens involved with the installation are 76.5sqm of Unilumin LAMP RNS P2.97 Comet Series indoor panels supplied by PHANTOS. The RNS29 features 3840Hz refresh rate and 160 degrees of viewing angle both vertically and horizontally. This would lead to a smooth viewing experience for visitors where ever they may be in the room. The LED screens are set up in front of a pool of water and consist of the main screen of approx. 14m and two side screens of about 8m each. The entire 76.5sqm screens are controlled via a MIG EC40 video controller.
