Are you innovative and experienced in working in the performing arts industry including liaising with production personnel, leading a team that delivers exceptional technical support of all things theatrical and business events? We are looking for someone who has the ability to be hands on in the theatre whilst driving the technical direction of the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre. You must possess a high level of technical competency, have strong organisational and time management skills. In addition, the role requires extensive experience in conference A/V, leading and coordinating a team, mechanist duties, staging equipment and function/event set ups.
You will need to have a “can do” attitude, ability to lead a team and will be able to see the ‘big picture’ goals of the organisation. Hours of work will vary and will require night and weekend work. Success in this position relies on solid organisational and communication skills, strong leadership qualities and the ability to perform under pressure.
Strong communication skills together with a current driver’s licence, Working with Children’s Check and First Aid Certificate are required. Victorian WorkCover endorsed Riggers & Dogging Certificates are highly desirable.
