Renowned Australian Electronic Band Pendulum recently toured Australia starting in Brisbane and ending their trip in Sydney with the final show at the iconic Enmore theatre. Creative Productions was engaged by Frontier Touring to provide the lighting and video production as the show made its way around the country.
The show was operated from a grandMA full size with a second full size console as a tracking backup. The video and lighting was completely integrated with all the video playback coming from Green Hippo media servers and all the lighting and video triggered with timecode.
The actual lighting system consisted of 26 x GLP GT-1 spots, 16 x ROBE BMFL spots, 12 x TLC Global Tour Pro Titan Washes and 24 x Tour Pro Storm LED stores as well as conventional lighting. All power was supplied used LSC Lighting Systems Generation IV Dimmer Distribution systems.
Video saw a massive 11m x 5m TourPro 5.9mm LED Screen as the back drop to the performance with main and backup media servers feeding the screen the custom content.
LD Joe Lott was asked about the rig and in particular his favourite fixtures – “The BMFL is an amazing light, to punch through colour wheels and effect wheels and still have so much output” He went on to comment on their reliability compared to other fixtures that would constantly being swapped out on tours such as this.
Beyond all the equipment, the Creative Productions crew were welcomed by the promoter and touring party alike and worked well together bringing this show to life.
