Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre is a multi-purpose venue, situated in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne, that provides live theatre entertainment for the local community, and can be booked for wedding receptions, social functions and corporate events. Offering 7 flexible spaces and 2 theatres, Plenty Ranges allows numerous areas and layout options to suit any function and event needs.
Due to an increase in activity and the varied hours required, we are currently seeking suitable applicants to join our technical staff.
Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre is seeking a permanent part time technician and casual technicians (x2), to assist with the technical requirements for the venue and its hirers. The successful applicant to the permanent part time position has high possibility to become full time in the near future.
Permanent Part Time is 25 hours per week, annualised on Band 4A.
Casual hourly rate is $32.54 per hour. This rate includes a 25% loading in lieu of annual leave, sick leave and public holidays.
The successful applicants will display a clear understanding of the principles of excellent customer service, arts venue operations and theatrical equipment. Due to the nature of the operations flexibility in work hours and availability during the daytime, evening and weekends will be required.
Experience in Strand Lighting consoles, Yamaha Audio consoles, single-purchase counterweight fly systems and the ability to be multi-skilled in a variety of theatre related areas would be highly regarded. This is to be coupled with strong teamwork and an excellent eye for detail.
