This exciting back-of-house role provides a great opportunity for a Theatre Technician to work in a busy and dynamic team to deliver high-quality, professional technical support for theatre and business events at the Wangaratta Performing Arts & Convention Centre.
The role offers a diverse range of tasks including the operation and set up of staging, lighting, sound, audio visual and mechanist duties. Preparing for conferences, functions and business events as well as bump in and bump out of small and large scale performances.
The successful applicant will have a high level of technical competency, be physically fit with great communication skills and a “can do” attitude. If you are prepared to get your hands dirty while multi-tasking and working to tight timelines often unsupervised, we would love to hear from you! A minimum of 25 hours per fortnight will be rostered based on venue activity. Hours of work will vary and night and weekend work will be required.
