About the Role
As our Business Development Representative, you’ll be initiating contact with and engaging potential end-users, dealers and customers. Your mission? Build a pipeline of qualified leads and collaborate with our Sales and Marketing teams to accelerate revenue growth.

Success in this role requires confidence, curiosity and the ability to quickly establish rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders – predominantly over the phone. While technical knowledge of audio and lighting will be beneficial, your ability to ask thoughtful questions, listen actively, and spot buying signals is what will set you apart.
Key responsibilities include:
- identifying and engaging potential end-users, dealers and customers across vertical markets, including theatres & entertainment venues, education and government;
- driving outreach, primarily over the phone, to identify and create opportunities;
- qualifying leads and building and maintaining a consistent pipeline of prospects;
- maintaining accurate CRM records and sharing opportunities and insights with Business Development, Sales and Marketing teams; and
- contributing to organisational revenue targets by generating high-quality leads and enabling sales conversion goals.
About You

Key requirements for this role include:
- 2+ years in lead generation, outbound sales or similar;
- strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to quickly establish rapport, particularly over the phone;
- able to ask insightful questions and actively listen;
- able to apply commercial insight and recognise buying signals;
- personal resilience and able to bounce back quickly from challenges, sustain motivation, and consistently pursue goals with determination and focus; and
- organised and proficient with CRM systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
