Optimal Audio has announced the launch of the Amp series, comprised of three class A/B power amplifiers for commercial audio applications that are designed to complement its existing loudspeaker and control offerings.
The three two-channel models include Amp 100 (2 x 350 watts, 4 ohms), Amp 200 (2 x 700 watts at 4 ohms), and Amp 300 (2 x 1350 watts at 4 ohms), and they are available in both 120-volt/60-Hz and 230-volt/50/60-Hz versions to accommodate various international power standards. They are designed to drive the company’s cuite of Cuboid point source loudspeaker series and their subwoofer partners from the Sub series. Further, when used with Zone controllers, the complete system reaches its full potential by providing a full suite of loudspeaker presets, limiters, and time of day routines that are all configurable via Zone’s onboard WebApp.
The 2U amplifiers have intuitively-designed front panels that include indicator LEDs for status monitoring of each amplifier channel. Also onboard are two balanced XLR and 1/4-inch “combi” line inputs joined by output options that include speakON or binding posts. Additionally, the amplifiers can be configured for various applications due to the Stereo, Bridge or Parallel mode that’s selectable via a switch on the rear panel.
David Morbey, product manager at Optimal Audio, states, “The introduction of these performance power amps is very significant, enabling us to be a true one-stop shop for installers and distributors. We are now able to offer a complete ecosystem for multi-zoned commercial audio applications that wish to combine audio quality with ease of deployment and use by venue staff.”
Optimal Audio invites visitors to explore the new range in hall 7, booth A300 at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) event in Spain at the Fira de Barcelona – Gran Via. And, the company says the Amp series will be available for shipping no later than February 1.
