Statewide Staging Systems is a major supplier to the Events Industry for the past 21 years. Our structures include orbit domes, ground support systems, staging and scaffolding. We are looking for an Operations Manager to take a lead in the day-to-day operations and the future growth of the business.
Based in Myaree, Western Australia.
6-month contract, moving to a permanent role for the right person
Key Responsibilities – reporting to the Managing Director:
* Ensure smooth running of jobs from start to finish, meeting client expectations and budgets.
* Client relationship management
* Casual staff management both on-site and in warehouse
* Use of FLEX software system
* Quotations
* Stock control
* Quality control
* Direct staff, delegate and monitor tasks
* Attend the event, if required
* Identify product or logistics problems and take steps to overcome in an effective and efficient manner
* OHS management
Skills and Attributes Required:
* Must be 100% dedicated to the role – no separate agendas
* Experience with understanding of event ground support systems, large staging, rigging and scaffolding
* Product knowledge / understanding
* Rigger’s Licence
* Enthusiastic, hard-working, CAN-DO attitude, proactive
* Prepared to work long hours in the peak summer period (Oct-Mar)
* Planning and organisation skills
* Problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication
* Outstanding leadership skills
* Time management – ability to meet strict timelines
* Computer literate
* Ability to work independently with an elevated level of professionalism and initiative
* Current drivers licence
Desirable Criteria (but not essential):
* Experience with FLEX software system
* Forklift licence
* HR truck licence
* CAD drawing ability
* Scaffold ticket
