About the role

As the front of house representation the Operations and Technical Officer represents the Performing Arts Team of Willoughby Council to the public. The incumbent is often the primary point of contact for patrons during events, and is responsible for the delivery of quality customer service across all interactions with the venue. 

The Operations and Technical Officer will also need strong technical skills in Lighting, Sound and Audio Visual, from set up, operating and pack down. 

Requirements

  • An understanding of event booking systems, ticketing systems and CAD style drawing programmes 
  • Experience in an arts/entertainment environment with a sound understanding of the entertainment industry, its terminology, traditions & protocols 
  • Experience in lighting and sound in a live performance and/or theatrical environment 
  • Experience working on bump ins and bump outs, rehearsals and performances in venues and responding to technical scene changes and cues 
  • Hold a current Apply First Aid Certificate, Accredited Responsible Services of Alcohol – Level A & L 7 and Elevated Platform Permit

Salary

Salary from $67,790.31 to $73,080.90 p.a. plus 10.5% Superannuation (Grade F/ Professional)
