Perth’s One 20 Productions has increased its hire inventory with the purchase of Martin MAC700s, MAC Auras and MAC 101s.
One 20 Productions specialises in boutique festivals – events for between 500 and 2000 people staged by upcoming promoters and quite often held outdoors. They offer audio, lighting, visuals and staging in one attractive package to their clients.
The six MAC Auras have proved so successful, Damian has just ordered six more stating that they are simply a great light that do their job well.
“We have a strong affiliation with Show Technology, it’s as much about the light as the service we get from Gino,” added Damian. “The Auras are being pushed a lot on riders so they’re not only going out on our shows, but being sub-hired a lot. They are getting a lot of work.”
As well as eight MAC101’s, One 20 Productions has just received some MAC Vipers which aren’t even out of their box yet so more on them later!
Although it is a discontinued product, Damian is also excited about his purchase of eight MAC700s as he believes that, as a model they still have a fair bit of life left in them!
“I purchased them as a second preference light rather than an industry standard one,” he said. “I believe I’ll still get five years out of them and that they will often be requested. You have to remember that not every promoter can afford MAC Vipers. We deal with a lot of midrange promoters who are not looking for touring specs but still want a good looking show even though they are constrained by budget. The MAC700s will be a workhorse for us in that particular market.”
