One such cost-cutting exercise is the failure of many manufacturers to put TrueCon ‘loop-throughs’ on their devices. Whether it’s a fixture, a DMX splitter, or a piece of power distribution equipment, we’ve all had the situation where one loop-through connector would have saved the headache of running an additional cable or adding to the complexity of our power distribution system.
OmegaTech’s desire to continually devise solutions has led to the creation of their latest product, an IP-rated TrueCon splitter box, the OTS-TT-SPL. This device’s primary design goal is to provide you with additional access to power without requiring additional equipment. By placing the OmegaTech TrueCon IP Splitter in line with your device’s power input cable, you can power another device simply by plugging it into the IP Splitter Box’s second TrueCon receptacle.
Manufactured from UV-stable and high-impact-resistant ASA, the TrueCon IP splitter features a short 2.5 mm² tail with a TrueCon connector and two panel-mounted TrueCon receptacles, each featuring self-closing, spring-loaded sealing caps. This configuration ensures IP reliability due to the IP rating of the connectors and the automatic sealing provided by the self-closing caps. Dual ‘belt loops’ as part of the exterior chassis allow for quick and easy attachment to your device. Due to its number of connectors, there is no requirement for overload protection, resulting in a compact and simple design suitable for applications requiring floor, truss, or fixture mounting.
The unit can be ordered without a tail, which is replaced with a panel mounted female receptacle with a self- closing cap. Other con?gurations will be available.
