The NSW Actors Benevolent Fund has created a special application form for those in the NSW theatre industry who may find themselves in desperate need as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
Who knows how the future will unfold but the ABF is making an early effort to be there for anyone who might qualify for assistance. They have prepared a special quick turn around grant which offers a number of ways they can provide emergency help to get their colleagues through this difficult time.
The COVID 19 EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE GRANT is designed to offer relief to meet bills such as medical (including mental health costs), pharmaceutical, household expenses such as registering cars or paying electricity and purchasing food. They will be providing vouchers for flu vaccinations in April.
If you are stranded as the result of a production closure and need domestic travel home they can assist you.
The application form is on the web site HERE. If you are not a resident in NSW please contact the Benevolent Fund in your home state. They also ask that everyone asking for assistance from ABF register with Centrelink for Job Seeker support as a first call.
