Bayside Council is a local government in New South Wales, Australia. Phantos has replaced the existing stage curtains for the Botany Town Hall at the Bayside Council.
The main house curtains and mid tab are installed with GRT T40I curtain track with a manual rope system that is designed to pull curtains of up to 100 Kg. These tracks have been made from extruded aluminium which gives them strength and robustness.
Front curtains, Back curtains and Rear Setting curtains are different layers of curtains for the stage. While Borders are short and wide theatre curtains spanning a stage’s width, Legs are side theatre curtains that are narrow and tall. They are situated on either side of the stage and run parallel to the grand drape.
All curtains, masking borders and legs at the Botany Town Hall have been changed using IFR Wool of 550g/sqm. The IFR wool curtains are made to 100% fullness and comply with Australian safety standards with test tags. The good thing about IFR fabric is it stays fire retardant for its entire life even after dry cleaning.
The curtain system has a manual rope mechanism which is used for smooth movement of the curtains. The rope moves with the help of a pulley which enables easy operation of the curtains. Shop drawings for the curtain system had been provided to Bayside Council and the curtains have been built as per the approved drawings.
Curtain tracks can be customized as per the usage within a specific auditorium. Customers can get the curtain tracks as per custom length. If you are looking for a replacement for old stage curtains, please feel free to call us and we shall design a curtain system as per your requirements.
