DFX Productions have supplied and installed Brisbane’s Mueller College eight Pro Shop LED Cyclorama RGBWA, a Martin Jem Ready 365 Hazer and a Robert Juliat Topaz follow spot.
“The college has a giant cyc wall and nothing was working well on it until we found the Pro Shop LED Cycloramas,” explained Damien Float, managing director of DFX Productions. “We’ve hung four from a new cyc bar that we installed whilst the other four are on the ground. The college has just embarked on its dance season and the lighting of the cyc has been excellent.”
Using RGBWA LED chips complete with amber depth control means that the Pro Shop LED Cyclorama is suitable for real world use. Complete with individual LED electronic dimming, stand alone or in built programs as well as being DMX controllable means this unit is suitable for every level of the pro-lighting industry.
Damien reports that the Martin Jem Ready 365 Hazer has been superb especially as it does not set off the smoke alarms like its predecessor did!
“The haze is also so much nicer; fine and even,” he added. “We needed two of the previous haze machines to fill the space evenly whereas with the Martin Jem Ready 365 Hazer we can run it at 10 – 15% and it fills the room nicely.”
The Jem Ready 365 Hazer houses advanced technology, including automatic shutdown with battery backup to prevent clogging and running out of gas by producing limited haze, even if gas pressure is lost. This allows the user to exchange the gas cylinder quickly without loss of effect. The Jem Ready is gas-efficient, sipping small amount of fluid per use and leaves no residue or smell.
The Topaze follow spot was chosen as the ideal solution for the college’s budget and Damien comments that it has a very nice throw and is perfect for this application.
