Movicom, a globally recognised leader in robotic camera support, worked with Panasonic to design and build a pan-tilt head solution designed for Panasonic’s AW-UB50 and AW-UB10 box-style 4K multi-purpose cameras. The D2 will bring full pan, tilt and zoom capabilities and will support the same IP-control protocol as Panasonic’s PTZ cameras, allowing for pan-tilt-zoom and lens control via the Panasonic AW-RP150 PTZ Camera Controller.
The RobyHead D2 provides the advantage of precise, remote camera positioning within a compact footprint, allowing users to accurately control the camera’s viewing angle without physically adjusting it, allowing full control at any distance. This makes it ideal for situations where clients need to capture a specific area or track movement while minimizing space requirements, as in sports, surveillance, video conferencing, events, and any situation where one needs a small footprint, but high image quality with motion control.
Motorised movements enable fine adjustments to the camera’s direction, allowing for accurate framing and tracking of subjects. Direct drive technology is virtually silent, allowing for movement during action and conversation.
The Robyhead D2 will also feature POE+ capability, to minimize cabling requirements, as well as an internal HDMI to 12G converter which will allow the UB50 and UB10 to integrate into the broadcast ecosystem easily and with fewer external converters needed.
Via a single controller there is full control the camera’s menu functions as well as pan, tilt, zoom and focus from virtually any distance using the controller or software over IP, thus the camera can be setup and operated from anywhere.
The RobyHead D2 is designed to fit in tight spaces to complement the compact size of the AW-UB50 and AW-UB10 cameras, which feature large sensors housed in a compact body, offering excellent resolution and expression capabilities, as well as lens interchangeability. The cameras bring a ‘cinema-style’ look to PTZ camera size.
