Motorized Lighting Truss Illuminates Kogarah High School

Kogarah High School has recently taken a bold step in enhancing the versatility and performance quality of its school hall by introducing a state-of-the-art motorized lighting truss system. This remarkable installation, designed to meet the school’s specific needs, has been expertly supplied and installed by PHANTOS, a trusted name in lighting and audiovisual solutions.

The system’s heart boasts a 9-meter span of EGT294 Box Truss, ingeniously paired with an Energy Chain collection bin. To facilitate smooth operation, the system is seamlessly driven by two Mode 611 Pro Chain motors and a 4-way Rackmount Controller, further complemented by a wireless handheld pickle for effortless control.

In the front of the house (FOH), Kogarah High School has harnessed the power of technology, utilizing four new LED Moving Head lights in conjunction with four existing LED Fresnel lights. This combination provides a dazzling array of lighting options that can be finely tuned to suit any performance. Furthermore, the installation features an impressive 12 new LED Wash Par lights situated overhead on the stage, casting vibrant and dynamic illumination across the performance area.

The remarkable feature of this advanced motorized lighting truss system is its adaptability within school halls. Unlike static truss structures, the motorized truss offers rapid, secure, and effortless adjustments. This dynamic flexibility facilitates smooth changes in lighting setups, eliminating the need for manual labour. This not only saves time but also minimizes the risk of accidents associated with moving bulky lighting equipment, enhancing overall safety.

PHANTOS has left no stone unturned to ensure a seamless and high-quality installation process. The project was executed with precision and care by a team of experienced installers and technicians, culminating in the issuance of a certificate of structural adequacy upon completion. To maintain transparency and eliminate any potential surprises or delays during installation, comprehensive shop drawings were provided well in advance to the customer.

In conclusion, the Motorized Lighting Truss Installation at Kogarah High School is a shining example of how innovative technology can enhance a school’s performance capabilities, setting the stage for countless unforgettable performances.
