Moama Lights with Mandylights

The Moama Lights are back for 2022! Mandylights has once again provided site-wide creative direction and technical production for Australia’s leading regional immersive light festival.

The Moama Lights is a completely new, bespoke experience that has been created through extensive consultation with local First Nations leaders, artists and council members which has resulted in a truly local event for – and by – the community.

Highlights of the site design include holographic projections of First Nations artworks, a sprawling field of thousands of handmade wheat grasses, illumination of hundreds of metres of the mighty Murray River and a stunning musical soundscape that includes new narration and songs by local artists.

Produced by Murray River Council and showing now until August 21, the event is expected to attract upwards of 20,000 people to the border country region about three hours north of Melbourne.
