MEA SA Young Professional Scholarship

Novatech Creative Event Technology is proud to announce our guru of all things I.T., Jacob Thomas is this year’s winner of the Meetings & Events Australia Young Professional Scholarship.

Over the last four & a half years, Jacob has been a knowledgeable lighting & vision technician, managed and developed the permanent installations portfolio, been responsible for all internal & external IT, as well as working on numerous large-scale events and projects.

One of Jacob’s key achievements has been the development of ‘OneSystem’. This solution combines inroom presentation management, speaker support, pre-event planning, webcasting and social media integration.

Jacob has worked on numerous high-profile events throughout the Asia/Pacific region with more planned in  2014 and beyond.

“At such a young age, Jacob’s contribution and commitment is extraordinary, if not mind blowing.  The future of the meetings and events industry is in great hands with passionate young leaders like Jacob. Jacob attended the awards ceremony last week where the winner was announced. As the recipient of this award, Jacob is offered the opportunity to attend the National MEA Conference, held this year in Kuala Lumpur. The Young MEA Future Leader’s Forum, an afternoon of development and learning. This experience is a great chance to network and connect with like-minded peers within the industry.
