New to their lighting inventory are sixteen Martin MAC Quantum Profiles, the extremely bright LED fixture that combines top-quality white light with a fast, smooth CMY colour mixing system and crisp gobo projection on surfaces as well as mid-air.
“Staging Connections has had Martin fixtures for many years going right back to MAC600s and MAC300s so there is a long history of reliability,” commented Ian Kirkwood, Head of Production at Staging Connections Victoria. “Through those purchases we have established a strong relationship with Show Technology so there is a slight bias towards Martin. However, my team and I always challenge that status quo just to make sure we were actually purchasing the best fixture for show delivery in our hotel environment.”
Ian soon discovered that the MAC Quantum has a huge advantage over competitor’s fixtures in that it is 
not a ‘one trick pony’. Ian required a fixture that was large and bright and would last for years servicing a variety of events and applications but the MAC Quantum is so much more than that.
“Gobo consistency was crucial as our gobo library is very important to our clients all around the country,” Ian remarked. “The MAC Quantums have their nose out front for that reason too.”
Adding extra sparkle to Crown’s events is the MAC Quantum’s Animotion™ FX system that allows never-before seen beam animations.
Also important to Ian was equivalent or better brightness compared to a discharge lamp fixtures. Ian particularly
likes the MAC Quantum’s ability to emulate tungsten lamp colour temperature.
“The feedback from the crew has been in line with the MAC Quantum being a versatile fixture,” added Ian. “They like using it because it’s brand new, large and bright, and frankly it’s doing a great job. It’s simply an all-round product with very effective gobo wheels and our technicians are loving it.”
