Martin Inspiration at ENTECH CONNECT

ENTECH CONNECT featured Martin innovation at its best with the Australian launch of the MAC Viper Profile, EC Series of LED screens, the M2GO console and the MAC101 CT.

The MAC Viper Profile is a new breed of high-output profile luminaire with an exceptional feature set and highly efficient optical system that outperforms market-leading profiles in the 1200-watt range. Its 1000-watt HID source is convincingly brighter than 1200-watt fixtures and the MAC Viper Profile also outperforms them in terms of speed and compactness. Power consumption is lower and output is approximately 55% more efficient.

The MAC101 CT incorporates both cold and warm LEDs instead of RGB for a better white light quality and greater output. Colour temperature is calibrated to ensure visual consistency across fixtures, the MAC101 CT allows for easy changes in colour temperature from crisp cold looks to warm shades, and features simple intensity control.

Equipped with a fast, dual-core processor with no external computer required, the M2GO answers the demand for a more powerful lighting console in a smaller form. It offers a professional level of features in a portable package and has been developed with cost, ergonomics, feature set, size and weight in mind. The Martin M2GO again sets a new standard as the most powerful and affordable full-featured lighting console on the market.

The Martin EC Series represents the new generation of indoor and outdoor LED screens, combining low weight and creativity with state-of-the-art image quality.

What was being said…..

“The MAC101 CT will be an awesome tool for television and some corporate situations,” observed Tony Davies, managing director of Chameleon Touring Systems. “The standard MAC101 – of which we have 300 – has proved itself to be rock solid reliability wise, fast, well packaged and internationally accepted as the market leader in this segment. With the MAC Viper Profile, Martin has got the first unit in the new range so right. For me, the Viper is the MAC2000 replacement/upgrade – it’s lighter, brighter, wider, flatter in its field and is set to become the new workhorse of the lighting industry.”

“While seeing Martin’s innovations and new product technologies are always of interest to me, the MAC Viper and the EC Series of LED Screens were of particular interest,” commented Jeremy Koch, director of Innovative Production Services. “Just seeing the compact size and clever design of the Viper in the flesh is amazing! They really are onto another industry staple with this light. The EC Series of LED screens are in a league of their own. I really don’t know what else to say, they are just that fantastic on so many levels, design, brightness, setup simplicity, the P3 controller…just awesome! I want some!”

“The Viper is so small and bright and certainly looks to be the next MAC2000,” said Tim Hall, managing director of Resolution X. “And I can’t wait to get my hands on the M2GO as we need a small yet fully featured console for the smaller projects.”

“The new Martin MAC Viper is a fantastic addition to the Martin product line,” remarked Peter Darby, Victorian Opera’s Head Electrician. “It has fantastic optics and terrific zoom range of 9 degrees to 45 degrees. For the amount of features Martin has packed into the new Viper range it is amazing the fixture weighs only 36kg.”

“The MAC Viper is a fantastic replacement for our ageing MAC2000’s,” said Mike Bird of Perth AV. “The increased brightness, sharp optics, fat beam look plus decrease in weight and power consumption definitely makes them the perfect unit for us in the corporate AV world. Having played with the EC10 system, I have to say that it is by far a very user friendly system to setup and use. Where time frame is always the issue to rig and setup traditional LED screens, the EC10 makes life very easy. Their brightness is good and the P3 200 processor makes configuration a breeze.”

“The output from such a small fixture was quite impressive,” said Clint Dulieu, Lighting Designer for Village Roadshow Theme Parks, when referring to the MAC Viper. “It was even better to see the build quality, features and design of the MACIII being continued down into a smaller fixture. That makes it an attractive fixture to purchase in the future if we were to go down that path. The M2Go is quite an impressive console feature set wise for the price point. It’s good that it’s an actual self contained console and not a PC wing or anything like that. I found the cool thing about the EC screens is the way they had it set up so you could map it across the different pixel pitch of screen and keep one seamless image.”

Mark McInnes, Show Technology’s Sales & Marketing manager, reports that he was run off his feet at ENTECH CONNECT!

“This is the first chance we’ve had to show the industry these new products,” he said. “I only saw the Vipers for the first time myself at the show! In fact they only just made the show. The feedback from the industry on all these new Martin products is very, very positive. We couldn’t be happier with the result. Martin professional have done it again.”
