Marketing Strategist

About the Company

Jands is one of Australia’s leading manufacturers and distributors of professional audio, lighting and staging products. We are seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Strategist to join the Jands team, located in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a willingness to take initiative and embrace working on collaborative projects. The role will see you developing marketing strategies and support a wide range of marketing initiatives across our business to achieve strategic planning, branding, positioning, communications and execution whilst promoting greater collaboration between the Marketing and Sales team.  This is a full-time role and a great opportunity to gain experience in the audio, staging and lighting industry.

About the Role

The key duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Specialist role include (but are not limited to):

  • Advising the Executive, Marketing and Sales teams on marketing strategies for improved effectiveness on cross-department process and collaboration between the Sales and Marketing team.
  • Drive and engage in initiatives between all of the company’s Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Review the company business and operational strategy and interact with external stakeholders to recognise market needs.
  • Advising on and delivering strategies on advertising, campaigns and the marketing mix
  • Identifying new markets
  • Analyse data, sales performance, forecast, market feedback, insights to support strategic planning, marketing, branding, pricing, positioning, communications, and execution.
  • Support business growth across all vertical market units guided by a solid understanding of marketing principles.
  • Create and build innovative ideas and prompt new perspectives on organisational improvement and customer success strategy.
  • Develop improved processes for ideation and execution in delivering a leading experience for customers.
  • Plan and develop communications.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the essential criteria listed below.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or related area
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in a marketing position.
  • Intermediate level of design, copywriting, and content creation experience.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to tasks with the ability to work across multiple projects and manage deadlines.
  • Creative individual with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Benefits include:

  • Base salary of between $70,000 – $80,000 per annum, plus super
  • Free on-site parking
  • Permanent full-time position
