We returned to Moama for the third year to create another unique immersive experience on the New South Wales / Victoria border along the mighty Murray River.
The annual @moamalights event was created by Mandylights and the Murray River Council to celebrate local stories, history, people and the environment in the middle of the pandemic. Now a hugely successful annual event, the Mandylights-lead project sees us completely reinvent the site each year – with the 2023 edition celebrating the natural elements of the region with tributes to fire, water, the sky and earth.
Our designs included collaborations with local school children, adaptations of local music and narration for stories around the campfire and even saw us recreate the Aurora Australis above the Horseshoe Lagoon site. We also drew on the resources of local suppliers for equipment and crew wherever possible.
Mandylights strives to create completely bespoke and site-specific experiences that give local audiences a sense of ownership and pride in their towns’ creations. We’re hugely proud of this outstanding local event and are thrilled to continue supporting the project which has grown in just a few short years to generate millions of dollars of revenue for the local community.
