This is an outstanding opportunity to work for an iconic performing arts organisation. The Victorian Arts Centre Trust provides leadership in the creation, production, presentation and promotion of the performing arts. The Arts Centre comprises a suite of venues that include Hamer Hall, State Theatre, Playhouse, George Fairfax Studio, and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The Trust’s core purpose is to enrich the lives of Victorians culturally, educationally, socially and economically.
The Arts Centre is the largest publicly owned performing arts complex in Australia. It operates seven days a week, year round. It presents around 1,500 performances annually. Along with an extensive program of exhibitions, seminars and public events, it also delivers services supporting the development to the performing arts sector.
We are seeking a talented professional to lead our high performing production team in the planning and delivery of backstage services, at a high level of excellence, ensuring that our services and technical facilities continue to be applauded by presenters nationally and internationally.
Reporting to the Executive, Programming and Presenter Services, the successful applicant will take responsibility for setting and delivering hard business results in a creative and artistic environment and will deliver a welcoming, effective and safe workplace culture.
