Manager – Lighting and Electrical Services, QPAC

Full-time 2 year term appointment

$83,442 per annum plus superannuation

The Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) is the state’s leading home of live performance. Located on the banks of the Brisbane River, QPAC is one of four organisations that make up the state’s Cultural Centre.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join QPAC in the full-time term position of Manager – Lighting and Electrical Services.

Reporting to the Manager – Production Services, this position is responsible for the effective, efficient and profitable management of QPAC’s Lighting and Electrical Services Unit. This includes providing value added customer service to clients, internal stakeholders and patrons, managing all of QPAC’s internal and external lighting, upholding electrical compliance to relevant Queensland legislation, seeking new business opportunities, and keeping current with electrical and production trends.

The successful candidate will possess experience in a lighting management role within the performing arts industry. Suitable tertiary, trade or industry qualifications will be well regarded, as is experience in a management role in a multi-venue arts centre or broad-based touring experience. It is a mandatory requirement that the successful candidate will have, or the ability to obtain, management qualifications to enable them to be added as a business person for QPAC’s electrical contractor licence.
