Mackie has announced three additions to the ProFXv3 series of compact live streaming mixers, with the new ProFX6v3+, ProFX10v3+, and ProFX12v3+ bringing new features that include switchable USB recording modes, bi-directional Bluetooth audio, and an enhanced GigFX+ effects engine with 12 customizable effects such as EQ and one-button compression.
The 24-bit/192 kHz mixers with a built-in 2×4 USB-C audio interface offer three recording modes: standard mode to capture the full mix, including GigFX+ effects and EQ; interface mode that sends a clean mix with no effects or EQ; and loopback mode that enables mixing computer audio into a recording, fostering the playing of music over backing tracks and moe.
Mic inputs incorporate Mackie’s Onyx mic preamps stated to deliver up to 60 dB of gain with low noise. Also onboard are 48-volt phantom power, 100 Hz low-cut filters, and Hi-Z switches to connect instruments, as well as stereo 1/8-inch aux inputs. Users can monitor via the headphone output, using the blend knob to mix between the direct signal and the DAW output.
Bluetooth audio allows bringing in backing tracks wirelessly from a phone or to patch in a caller for a live presentation or podcast, with Mix Minus monitoring to prevent callers from hearing an echo. Waveform OEM™ recording software is included.
