Michael Zagarn has added 14 x Martin MAC Aura XBs to his inventory treating them to a day out at the SummerSalt festival featuring Xavier Rudd and Yothu Yindi & The Treaty Project.
“The MAC Aura XBs did a great job and looked amazing,” commented Michael. “They were so bright and matched well with the MAC Quantums and Claypaky Unicos in the rig. It was a really good rig, very punchy even during the day.”
In fact the featured Yothu Yindi photo was taken mid-afternoon and despite being daylight, the deep blue colour created by the MAC Aura XBs is highly visible which Michael describes as very impressive.
Michael originally owned several ordinary MAC Auras and had the opportunity to upgrade to the MAC Aura XB.
“They’re a really useful size and very quiet which is great for all of the theatre work that I do,” he added. “I bought the top hats for them so they disappear. The zoom range is great– they’re simply an extremely versatile light that can do everything. They’re perfect for the majority if shows that I light.”
Also in the rig were Michael’s 8 x Claypaky Unico, 6 x Martin MAC Quantum Profile, 10 x ShowPRO LED Blinder, 2 x Jem ZR45 and his MA Lighting grandMA3 fullsize.
