Ash Neuendorf of High Impact Lighting recently purchased an MA Lighting MA onPC command wing and NPU (Network Processing Unit). Ash runs a demanding business in and around Brisbane so he required a system that had mobility, flexibility and power.
In combination with the free of charge grandMA2 onPC software, the MA on PC command wing is a portable 2,048 parameter control solution that can be used in nearly any location.
With all the buttons and ports you’ll find on larger MA2 consoles, the MA onPC command wing control surface gives operators hands on access to all the power of the MA2 software installed on a laptop or desktop computer. Four encoder wheels, five faders, and MIDI “in and thru” make this DMX/Network controller perfect for concert production, event lighting and worship services.
“I’ve been a lighting designer and operator for many years,” Ash remarked. “I’ve owned Hogs and other consoles in the past, but I was after something that was totally reliable and also met a need in the market.”
Ash reports that he uses the cloning function a lot with his MA onPC and that he loves the effects engine.
“When you do a complex set up it’s actually quite straight forward,” he added. “In fact I would say that when it’s a complex show it’s actually simpler. It’s a quick and easy to use system, most of the time I can get a show up and running in twenty minutes.”
