LSC Control Systems, the Melbourne, Australia-based manufacturer of advanced power and control system technologies, has announced the appointment of Kris Noerens as its new Business Development Manager for Europe. This appointment is the latest major step forward for LSC, which was acquired by Robe Lighting in 2024.
Noerens, who joins the company from LSC’s Benelux distributor, Controllux in Belgium, is a highly experienced theatre lighting professional, having spent almost 30 years as a freelance lighting designer and operator. His broad-ranging career has also included spells at AC Lighting (now AC Entertainment Technologies) in London and Barndoor BVBA in Belgium.
He has also held lighting and management roles at renowned venues such as Ancienne Belgique and The Royal Theatre of La Monnaie, as well as the theatre and music centre in Kortrijk, among others. His role with Controllux saw him involved with various supply and installation projects for theatres, opera houses and other cultural venues.
Noerens says, “This new role in a European context is a challenge I’m very much looking forward to. I believe that together we can create something remarkable, and I look forward to building a real success with the LSC team.”
