Logistics Manager, Opera Australia

Due to significant expansion to its operations in recent years, Opera Australia is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead, manage and oversee the Storage and Logistics handling requirements of all of Opera Australia’s production elements both domestic and international.

This newly created position will oversee and coordinate all aspects of storage and transport of production elements, the delivery and set up of rehearsal elements, the delivery of elements to performance venues, and overseas shipping. The position will track production elements, and oversee two stores and containerisation. Key accountabilities include scheduling and inventory control, budget management, staff management, work health and safety management, and internal customer relations.

The successful applicant for this position will possess extensive experience in business, supply chain or logistics, well developed planning, organisational, and scheduling skills, and effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. Aproven track record in developing and improving systems and processes, and sound budget, staff management and work health and safety experience is also required.

An ability to work autonomously and to set deadlines is essential. Experience in the arts/entertainment industry would be an advantage.
