1. What would you normally be doing this time of year?
In the third quarter of the year, I would normally be preparing for the footie finals, daily work at Channel Seven, and looking into the various promotional events for national and international artists releases in the final quarter coming up.
2. What’s a fairly normal day at the moment for you?
An early start, a walk to the beach, a swim in the ocean, an abundant and healthy breakfast, then keep busy venting work, helping musicians from here and abroad
with their productions. I’m about to release news on new services from my own Dubology Studios.
3. Are you learning anything to improve your skills set?
Yes, I am. I have extended my knowledge on wireless frequency management, and my head is down learning new skills towards music production.
4. What bad habits have you slipped into?
I have explored too many red wines these past few months. I have actually, due to personal reasons, used the downtime to work a lot on myself.
5. How are you coping financially?
Fortunately, the Commonwealth through its JobKeeper scheme has been a valuable source of financial support. In addition, some of my clients and royalties for past international work, have contributed to my livelihood these past few tough months.
6. When do you think live entertainment with return and in what format?
If I had the answer to this, I would have already guessed the lotto numbers. I just hope that the relevant authorities find the safety required for our industry to return as soon as possible.
7. Do you have any words of encouragement?
To all my fellow sisters and brothers in black, that always showcase the most professional work I’ve experienced in the world, stay strong. Have faith that events and shows will come back soon, and we will be back in glory when that happens.
8. What makes you happy at the moment?
My new relationship with the ocean and the unconditional love of my son are elements that feed my soul and give me happiness.
