Live Production & Staging Trainee

Bring the magic to life, as you learn how to stage, light and do the audio for shows and performances as the Live Production and Staging Technician at the MECC. This role is the gateway to working backstage in the entertainment industry anywhere in the world!

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of events, including theatre productions, conferences and outdoor functions.

Timeframe:
This is a 12 month traineeship

What you will need to succeed:
•An active planner and problem-solver who is motivated and enthusiastic.
•Interested in supporting the backstage roles (staging, audio, visual and lighting) for conferences, theatre productions and outdoor functions.
•Good verbal communication skills and a desire to provide good service to internal and external customers.
•You’re a team player, with the ability to learn from, and grow positive relationships with others.
•Successful completion of Year 10 is desirable, but not required.
