If you enjoy being a part of live productions, this is your chance to complete a Certificate III in Live Production and Services Worker traineeship based at the Ipswich Civic Centre, our premier performing arts and entertainment venue.
You will undertake behind the scenes work for productions and events and learn how to:
- Install and test lighting equipment
- Install and operate follow spots
- Work effectively backstage during performances
- Install and disassemble audio equipment
- Develop basic vision system skills
- Develop basic lighting skills and knowledge
- Operate flying systems
- Develop basic audio skills and knowledge
The 12-month traineeship under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program will give you:
- Practical work skills while working full time
- A nationally recognised qualification
- The chance to join a great team working for our community
- A supportive environment working in a field you are interested in
About you
To be successful in this traineeship you will:
- Be organised, reliable and able to follow work instructions
- Have a genuine interest in the entertainment industry
- Be prepared to work in a team and communicate well
- Be dedicated to completing a Nationally Accredited qualification
- Ideally, have completed a Ready for Work course or equivalent
To be eligible to obtain a certificate during the traineeship, you need to:
- Be a Queensland resident with Australian or New Zealand citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia
- Have not completed this qualification previously

About the benefits
This is a 12 month fixed-term traineeship with a salary between $346 and $743 before tax per week, plus superannuation of up to 12.5%. The salary is dependent on age and level of schooling achieved.
