Live Production and Events Traineeship

If you love live production and entertainment technology and would like to undertake a a nationally recognised vocational qualification while working in a busy friendly environment then consider joining our team as a trainee.

Position commences 4th February 2019

POSITION SUMMARY:

To assist in the provision of a broad range of technical work such as staging, sound, lighting and rigging for production and events. This role will also include asset management and venue janitorial duties.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Current verified NSW Working With Children Check
  • Aptitude and commitment to undertake and complete distance education studies in CUA40415 – Cert IV in Live Production and Technical Services.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Collaboration in a creative process
  • Lead team effectiveness
  • Work safely in the construction industry
  • Contribute to the organisation of productions
  • Communicate effectively with arts professional
  • Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements
  • Licence to perform rigging intermediate level
  • Licence to perform rigging basic level
  • Operate/set-up a sound desk/sound equipment
  • Operate complex lighting
  • Create special effects for scenic art
  • Operate flying systems
  • Set up and operate lighting cues and effects
  • Attach cords and plugs to electrical equipment for connection to a single phase 250 Volt supply
  • Assist with general office duties.
  • Undertake venue janitorial duties from time to time
  • To perform any other duties within the scope of the position as directed.
