Kallangur, a residential suburb in the Pine Rivers district, is at the junction of Old Gympie Road (the former Bruce Highway) and the road to Redcliffe (Anzac Avenue). It is 26 km north of central Brisbane. The name was derived from an Aboriginal word thought to denote a good place.
And it sounds like it was a good place for a good time with the recent “Smells Like the 90s” Rock show held at the Kallangur Tavern.
The sold-out event had Mike Cox’s company Check 1,2 doing the production. Fans rocked out to the sounds of Miss Riot, Different Breed and Blackstar channelling hits from Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Live, Alice in Chains, INXS, Fuel, Radiohead and many more.
Acoustic Technologies CLA700/CLALF3200 System with SFM24 monitors and PowerSoft amplification were used for the event.
