The Global Truss BarriCage is the perfect way to protect stage lighting fixtures in multi-purpose halls, mixed sporting/music venue rooms and gyms. Basketballs and other sports balls can cause damage if they impact the venue’s lights, no matter how high the ceiling is above the floor level.
The BarriCage is designed to provide suspension points to hang lighting whilst deflecting impact from stray balls during sporting events. In addition, a full-width hinged door allows clear, easy access to the lights for maintenance or focusing.
The 50mmØ lighting bar inside the cage can support 70kg/m evenly distributed load, 3 x 60kg point loads, or 180kg total load along its 2.3m length. In addition, multiple cages can be joined together to create a wider span (additional pick-up points may be required at cage joins).
Constructed from 40mm x 40mm x 3mm RHS and 100mm x 100mm x 5mm thick steel mesh, the BarriCage guarantees a robust, practical, fully engineered, off-the-shelf solution for protecting your performance lighting infrastructure.
