Colin Baldwin, Managing Director of Live Event Services, has been a long-time user and fan of ShowPRO products, so when he recently required an IP-rated LED Bar, he knew exactly where to look.
Live Event Services contracted by the New South Wales Government to supply the production, staging and lighting for the opening concerts of The Pier Pavilion, a new venue in Barangaroo. Entitled Nocturne, the concerts were held over four weeks in June and July.
“It’s an outdoor venue which is semi-enclosed, but you’ve got to install IP-rated fixtures because of the wind and the rain, which everybody knows about right now!” commented Colin. “I wanted LED Bars to uplight the front facade of the pavilion, and Gareth recommended the ShowPRO Fusion Bar QV that worked a treat.”
The ShowPRO Fusion Bar QV is an outdoor-rated, quad-colour (4-in-one) RGBW one-metre LED bar/batten that delivers vibrant linear colour washes and an individually controllable 15 x 1 pixel matrix.
“They’re punchy and they’ve got a really good colour mix,” added Colin. They offer a wide range of mode options for various lighting effects. They’re perfect for uplighting.”
All lights on this production were from ShowPRO, including eight LED FusionPAR Q XII and four LED Colour Ranger 27s.
