About the vacancy
As we continue to deliver a strong program in 2022, Adelaide Festival Centre is looking for technical theatre professionals to join its Lighting Department.
Reporting to the Head of Department – Lighting, these positions provide equipment and technicians to set up and operate all types of performance lighting, control systems, follow spot and atmospheric effects (smoke, haze & dry-ice). Event lighting design is also available. General maintenance and repair and installations to all associated equipment
If you are a dedicated lighting technician with a passion for the performing arts and looking for a career in lighting, then one of these opportunities could be for you!
The successful applicants will have:
- or will be working towards a relevant qualification in lighting
- Elevated Work Platform current certificate
- Experience in Lighting in a live performance and/or theatrical environment
- Experience working on bump ins and bump outs, rehearsals and performances in our venues and responding to technical scene changes and cues.
- Experience in an arts/entertainment environment
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service
- A sound understanding of the entertainment industry, its terminology, traditions & protocols
