About the Team
The Production department sits within the Performing Arts pillar and comprises of a team that delivers production services for ACM across Staging, Lighting, Sound & Vision, Broadcast & Digital, Wardrobe, Stage Management, Production Management, Corporate Events, Safety and Technical Training & RTO to enable the safe and efficient delivery of events across all of our venues and spaces
About the Role
This position is responsible for delivering effective Lighting services to ensure optimum efficiency and success in the presentation of productions.
Casual, $29.99 per hour plus casual loading.
Your Skills and Experience
- Proven experience with and understanding of current technology, operating systems and applications; and the demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technology and systems, including upgrades and changes, within a reasonable timeframe.
- Knowledge and understanding of the theory involved in lighting concepts, and how to utilise this knowledge to achieve and create specific lighting and artistic effects, as well the contribution to the overall professional effect of the production. Experience is required to be able to apply this knowledge for different situations and venues including outside events and broadcasts
- A general electrical knowledge of wattage, amps, circuit breakers, earthing and three-phase wiring. Also, the principles of industry equipment communication protocols and data distribution networks including Ethernet and DMX-512 are essential to be able to patch and connect equipment safely, to select the appropriate wattage for size/intensity requirements, and to know how much power is being loaded on each circuit
- A knowledge and understanding of the technical lighting equipment used in the industry is essential
- Appropriate communication skills to liaise with presenter staff. Well-developed interpersonal skills are required to resolve issues.
