Lighting Technician, SOH

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible to provide leadership in the delivery of technical services that are customer focussed and support performers to achieve excellence in their field of endeavour.  This position leads a small technical team to deliver outstanding theatre and entertainment production services.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
1.    Demonstrated technical expertise, skills and experience in all aspects of lighting operation.
2.    Comprehensive skills and experience (minimum 3 years) in professional live theatre/entertainment industry.
3.    Cert 4 or equivalent demonstrated experience in theatre technical production is desirable.
4.    Good communication, team building, and interpersonal skills.
5.    Good organisational, analytical and decision making skills.
6.    Ability to work quickly under pressure and prioritise work.
7.    Numerical ability and lateral thinking.
8.    Physical fitness, agility and ability to work at heights, good hearing and vision.
9.    Demonstrated ability with computer systems like Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc)
10.    Knowledge of relevant computer simulation software for show design applications is desirable.
11.    A pattern of regular seasonal employment at SOH is desirable.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Job Status:    Flexible Time Contract
Remuneration:   Total hourly rate of $32.41 (Base hourly rate of $28.49 per hour, scaled penalty of $3.92 per hour) plus 9% superannuation
