About the Role
We are seeking a Lighting Technician with end-to-end expertise to produce quality, creative and visually stunning experiences for a diverse range of live events. As a senior member of the team, you will also be given opportunity to lead teams at events and take an active part in the development of crew.
Main Tasks and Duties include:
- Rigging and set up of lighting equipment in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Providing technical support both in house and at events, including serving as Tech Lead where required
- Operating and directing the lighting components of production for live events using a variety of consoles and systems
- Conducting appropriate onsite checks of lighting equipment
- Playing an active part in the selection, pre-event programming, and resetting of lighting equipment for events
- Providing motivation and support to junior staff, as an onsite subject matter expert in the Lighting discipline
- Supporting teams with the bump in and bump out of events
- Communicating effectively at all stages of production with our valued clients, ensuring that show delivery is of the highest standard

Experience
- End-to-end experience as a Lighting Technician within the live event industry is required.
- A proven track record working collaboratively as a senior member of a team
- Experience effectively liaising with a range of clients on diverse requirements in a pressurised, time critical and live setting
- A safety-first approach and understanding of WHS practices
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline are not essential, however will be seen as advantageous
