Lighting Technician

An exceptional opportunity currently exists for highly motivated individuals to join QPAC in the casual role of Technician – Lighting.

Working under limited supervision, you will provide hands-on professional, client focused services to venue hirers and other QPAC Units. These positions involve working with teams of technicians in multiple venues in a high-pressure hands-on team environment.

Duties include the setup, operation and maintenance of production lighting equipment, control systems, follow-spots and effects in a live theatre environment.

We are looking for high calibre individuals with suitable technical experience and good communication skills. To be successful for the role, you will have demonstrated ability to setup, operate and maintain stage lighting and production equipment, systems and effects; along with the ability to work with limited supervision in a hands-on team environment, in one or multiple venues and to work effectively as part of a team.

Experience with lighting control systems, data networks and multi-venue theatre centres will be highlight regarded, as is touring and commercial theatre experience within the performing arts industry.

Availability will be required for day, evening and weekend shifts including extended periods to service hirer’s schedules.
