We currently have various casual vacancies for immediate filling.

About the Perth Theatre Trust
The Perth Theatre Trust (the Trust) is a statutory authority established and constituted under the Perth Theatre Trust Act 1979 to oversee the management and operation of theatres vested or leased to the Trust by the State Government.

The Trust is responsible for the care, control, management, maintenance, operation, and improvement of theatres under its control which currently includes the Albany Entertainment Centre, His Majesty’s Theatre, Subiaco Arts Centre and the State Theatre Centre of WA.

About the roles
There are numerous positions listed within this advertisement. The Technical Services department provides services and support to all productions and events hosted within Perth Theatre Trust venues.

Lighting: Key duties will include lighting console operation, follow spot operation, special effects, atmospheric management, floor electrics, rigging, focus and network management.

Staging: Key duties will include rigging, scenery and set construction, fly system operation, automation, and logistics.

Audio: Key duties will include audio console operation, radio microphone and frequency management, communication system management, system tuning, rigging and access services.

Audio Visual: Key duties will include rigging, video mapping, projector management, video recording and editing, camera operation and streaming services.

Location
The roles will work across the Perth Theatre Trust’s metropolitan venues including: His Majesty’s Theatre, State Theatre Centre, Subiaco Arts Centre and the Perth Cultural Centre.

About you
Using your technical theatre experience and passion for the arts and culture you will play your part in contributing to the team in presenting world-class cultural experiences to a variety of audiences.

With a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible, you will be a contributor to a dynamic and varied production team.

You have been certified as competent in the roles, are actively safety conscious, can think on the fly and provide creative solutions.

Eligibility to Apply
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.

For temporary (fixed term or casual) positions, you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be valid for 10 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Noting there may be subsequent pool vacancies advertised within this period.

Casual appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.

Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies with the Perth Theatre Trust for the duration of the pool.
